DE STÁPLÓIR

De Stáplóir is a set of stapler and staple remover in one, inspired by the styles and works of Eileen Gray and De Stijl movement.

Magnification of the areas of a product that go unnoticed but are significant for the whole piece is one of the most important features that De Stáplóir focuses on. There is a subtle awkwardness that the products evoke which prompts users to search for its purpose. The joint of the stapler is exaggerated to the extent in which the hand needs to wrap around the entire joint, rather than the original bulky head and foot, in order to use the stapler.

The staple remover is tucked inside the hollow joint of the stapler, fitting together coherently.
